i have to get my medical exam for canada immigration again.

hi there,
i'm planning to bring my in-laws to USA and they have their visitor visa appointment next week. everything is set but i'm a littled worried about demonstrating financial stability to sponsor them.
i have paystubs & employment letter but the bank letter doesn't look so good. i live on check-to-check and my current balance is around 3K. you think i should take chance and go for the interview and hope VO doesn't ask for bank letter or doesn't mind the balance?
please help. any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Typically, visa backlogs are reduced by issuing visas and thus removing people from the demand list. In this case, the movement is due to decreased demand � people with approved petitions on the waiting list simply aren�t applying for visas.

The article says that dates have moved forward because the people whose dates are current, have not applied for their visas
And suppose we could do the same -- if no one applies the gc even once the PD is current, there will be forward movement.... then WHAM! In one go, all could apply

You cannot use the “AUTO VISA Revalidation” rule once you go for stamping.
Please share your experience of H1b visa stamping in Halifax or Quebec (Canada).
I am planning drive to Halifax or Quebec end of this month.
I am intended to use “AUTO VISA Revalidation” rule.
I am from India and I don’t have any U.S. degree.

Hi Folks,
I got the following email from USCIS
On March 17, 2008, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before you get your new card call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.
Eventhough I did not get notice yet by mail I am little confused and concerended with their message, I have couple of questions
1) Does this really means my AOS application is approved? Is there anything else I should do?
2) what is ADIT processing that they are referening to?
Any thoughts or experiences from the gurus here is really appreciated.

USCIS has released figures from the first week of the H-1B season and filings for the 65,000 H-1B "regular" cap slots for the fiscal year that begins in October were just 13,500. That is less than one third of the 42,000+ received during the same period last year and only about one-tenth of the number filed two years ago. Only 5,600 masters cap applications were filed against the 20,000 cap in that category.

Her H4 is not dependent upon the employer but on her spouse maintaining a valid H1 with an employer. There is no need for your wife's friend to worry or do anything.
However, if she wants to get a visa stamp, she would have to go with her husband's current H1 I797 at that time.

Hi,
I am a July 2007 filer (EB3 India). In the coming weeks, my employer is opening up senior position in different states and has encouraged existing employees to apply.
If my employer is open to offering me a job for the new position, (and process a EB2 PERM/I-140 for the new position) what would be my option with the existing I-485.
Is it recommended to keep the existing I-485 as is an file a new one? Or should the existing one be updated with the new I-140 (EB2) when that gets approved? How does it affect AC21 portability if existing I-485 is updated.

Please I need advice. I am currently preparing to file I-140/I-485 concurrent application and do not want to include the names of my children who are US citizens on the application. This is because I do not want the name of their mom to come up since I don't want to add her name too to the application. Although we got married outside the US, and I mistakenly wrote that with her name on my B1/B2 application I still will want to file this application as single. She has some issues to clear with USCIS and I do not want to complicate matters by adding her name to my application. I truly will appreciate your advice on this matter before I submit my application. Thank you

Hi,
I have applied for my H1B transfer from my current employer to a new company. I have not had any issues with my current employer with pay or anything like that. I have maintained my H1B status with my salary coming on time as promised and have all the paystubs and correct documents. My new employer is a big american MNC and they have hired a well known law firm for transfer process.
My only question is I have not informed my current employer yet and will inform him in a weeks time once my LCA is done and transfer is filled. He will not be very happy about this and I have initially signed an offer letter which says I will work with him for atleast a year and its only been 6 months so far. Can he create any problems in my transfer by cancelling my current H1 or any other problems with my reliving? Pls help.

I am thinking of applying for 485 right now, and 5 months later for my wife. Do the dates have to current when I apply for my wife. or it does not matter. Has any one done this where they applied for 485 when dates were current but for spouse at a latter date when the dates were backlogged again.
